Today is the 32nd Birthday of Chartwell Booksellers. For thirty-two years, people (well, a few) have been asking us: 'Why a Churchill bookshop in New York City? Shouldn't you be in London?' And, for thirty-two years, we have been answering: 'No. Churchill is actually more popular here.'

The Churchill Centre and National Churchill Museum 2015 Churchill Leadership Award Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria.
For almost 32 years now (our birthday is next month), Chartwell Booksellers has lived right down the street from the Waldorf Astoria hotel on Park Avenue.
The Waldorf has shared a lot of history with Winston Churchill. Now, the Churchill Centre and the National Churchill Museum are bringing Winston Churchill back to the Waldorf.
